NAD+ therapy is a type of intravenous treatment that slowly diffuse the active component into the bloodstream for maximum benefit via a catheter inserted into the vein.

Although we are able to produce NAD+ in our body, NAD+ levels gradually decline with age, affecting cell function, causing organ degeneration that causes rapid aging, including dysfunction of brain function and memory. Therefore, raising NAD+ levels in the body helps cells regain strength and improves memory.

NAD+ Therapy is an intravenous high-dose NAD+ that allows NAD+ to enter the blood directly into the bloodstream to quickly repair cells throughout the body, especially the brain without being absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract.

NAD+ Therapy provides a rapid increase in NAD+ levels in the brain, stimulates energy production and brain cell regeneration processes, improves brain function, helps to feel clear, stabilizes mood, reduces stress, anxiety, and depression or mood swing and also helps to focus and memory better.

There are 3 key components that affect cell repair and cell regeneration:

  • 1. NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) is a cofactor (stimulator) in two key areas of cellular function: the conversion of food into energy and the maintenance of healthy and strong cells.
  • 2. Sirtuins (Silent Information Regulator) are proteins that are essentially involved in the processes of cell death, inflammation and cellular stress resistance to various conditions including energy efficiency.
  • 3. Mitochondria are plants that produce energy for cells in the body, where 90% of the energy used by cells is produced by them. Mitochondria.

NAD+ decreases with increasing age. It is estimated that the level of NAD+ at age 50 is half that of NAD+ at age 20, and 20% at age 70. When you are 80 years old, a decline in NAD+ levels results in the inactivation of the protein Sirtuins and inhibition of the enzyme PARP, both of which negatively affect our brain function and the health of our nervous system, causing neurological and memory deterioration, heart disease, obesity and other life-related problems.

Antiaging scientist Dr David Sinclair discovered that when NAD+ levels drop, it “accelerates” the aging process by deactivating the Sirtuins genes, inflammation occurs in cells. And vice versa, if the body receives a high amount of NAD+, it activates this gene. The higher the volume, the more effective of activation.

This Sirtuins gene controls the production of a group of proteins called Sirtuins, which protect DNA and regulate cellular aging processes, correcting DNA damage that allows your cells to live long and healthy leading to a good quality of life and live longer. In addition, high doses of NAD+ help restore Mitochondria dysfunction, increases energy production in cells, which is beneficial for overall aging.

  • - Help slow down the aging process of cells, restore youthfulness to the body.
  • - Increase energy for the brain to make brain cells work better, reduce brain fatigue.
  • - Improve memory
  • - Protect the nervous system, increase the amount of neurotransmitters, reduce stress on the nervous system.
  • - Help blood vessels to be more flexible.
  • - Increase the production of energy for cells, allowing the body to repair DNA more efficiently and reduce inflammation within cells.
  • - Stimulate the chromosomes to be strong, increase the energy efficiency of the body in exercising and restoring various parts.
  • - Stimulate the immune system to make the body stronger.
  • - Help to lose weight easier.

if you're interested in exploring IV therapy, it's important to understand how it works. The acronym “IV” stands for intravenous therapy, “intra-” meaning within or inside and “venous” relating to the veins. Thus, IV therapy is a method of administering fluids into the body via the blood vessels, and it’s the fastest way possible to deliver essential nutrients to your body.

An IV fluid drip involves a small tube called a catheter and a saline-based electrolyte solution that contains your selected vitamins and nutrients. An IV drip delivers these essential nutrients and fluids directly into your bloodstream, bypassing your digestive tract. There’s no wait time, and the nutrition is instantly available to remedy your body’s health and wellness needs.

Some IV drips contain electrolytes and salts, while others contain sugars, vitamins, and antioxidants. Each concoction differs depending on the health and wellness needs of each patient.

The most common ingredients that go into IVs include:

  • Saline. This a solution of salt in water and is the most common type of fluid for IVs. A Saline solution is great for dehydration and hangovers since sodium is a type of electrolyte.

  • Vitamins. The benefits of vitamins and antioxidants are essential, as they can give us a boost of energy, strengthen our immune system, plus so much more.

  • Electrolytes. These essential elements and compounds hydrate our bodies, regulate nerve and muscle function, regulate blood pressure, and more. Besides sodium, your body needs potassium, calcium, bicarbonate, magnesium, chloride and phosphate — all of which are electrolytes.

Yes, IV therapy is very safe. All of our vitamins are FDA-approved and go through high levels of testing before they’re made available to our clients. All IV drips are administered by a registered nurse and with guidance from our medical director. Before any client receives IV therapy, we evaluate their health history.

Side effects from an IV drip are generally non-existent or very mild. On occasion, you may experience some discomfort, bruising, itching, inflammation, or redness at or around the site of injection, and this could last from a few minutes to several days. However, true allergic reactions are extremely rare.

We recommend our clients receive for IV therapy 1-2 times a month. We take a customized approach to suit your individual needs. For preventative health and wellness, we recommend two IV drips per month, as this helps balance out any vitamin deficiencies.

The acronym “IV” stands for intravenous therapy, “intra-” meaning within or inside, and “venous” relating to the veins. IV therapy, then, is a method of administering fluids to the body by way of the blood vessels. So, when we talk about the benefits of IV therapy, we’re referring to both the IV method itself and the ingredients found within your chosen drip.

1. It’s the fastest way possible to get essential nutrients in your body

With traditional oral supplements, nutrients must first enter your digestive system and be processed for absorption before entering the bloodstream. IV therapy cuts digestion out of the equation. Supplements delivered intravenously are immediately available for your body. There is no breakdown of nutrients, and there’s no wait time. Your body will absorb everything it needs, and anything it doesn’t is filtered out and expelled.

2. Can help treat certain conditions

IV therapy is best known for its ability to hydrate your body and make you feel your best. It can also improve certain conditions that affect the digestive tract, including Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, colon cancer, and cystic fibrosis. Since those ailments may inhibit the absorption of certain vitamins and minerals, IV therapy can help deliver those same nutrients without upsetting the digestive tract.

Check out our nutritional drips page for more information.

3. Promotes better cardiovascular health

Depending on the ingredients of your drip bag, IV therapy can have a profound effect on your cardiovascular health. Certain amino acids like arginine ornithine help relax your blood vessels, which in turn may lower your blood pressure. Minerals, such as magnesium and calcium, can also help regulate the contracting and dilating of your blood vessels. If you’re interested in the cardiovascular benefits of IV therapy, we recommend the following supplements:

  • - Calcium
  • - Arginine
  • - Magnesium sulfate
  • - Tri Amino

4. Provides your body with natural energy

Skip the sugary sodas and sketchy energy drinks and instead opt for a more natural solution: vitamins! The secret lies in the energy-producing properties of B vitamins and amino acids, the building blocks of protein in the body. Both B vitamins and amino acids are considered essential nutrients your body needs to survive. An influx of those via an IV infusion can help boost your body’s natural energy levels and could help you curb your cravings for unhealthy foods and beverages.

If you’re looking for a quick boost of energy, ask the registered nurse administering your IV about the following:

  • - Alpha-lipoic acid
  • - B-Complex (all eight essential B vitamins)
  • - Vitamin B12
  • - Vitamin B9

5. An effective way to get immune-boosting antioxidants

Free radicals are naturally occurring molecules that can cause oxidative stress which is thought to contribute to a whole host of diseases, ranging from depression to heart disease and cancer. Antioxidants like vitamin C are substances that protect your body from those free radicals. Moreover, certain antioxidants like vitamin C—and even some minerals like zinc—help protect the body against infection by strengthening the immune system

Enhance your drip and give your immunity a boost:

  • - Vitamin C
  • - Zinc

6. Helps maintain a healthy weight

Weight loss can seem difficult at times, no matter how much you exercise or eat your greens. IV supplements can help boost your weight loss journey by converting fat into pure fuel on a cellular level.

While every IV clinic has its own formulas, Bounce Hydration uses carnitine and alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) to burn fat into energy you can use. Both carnitine, an amino acid, and ALA, a known antioxidant, works with your mitochondria to boost your metabolism and break down fat.

7. One of the best ways to alleviate a hangover

As a known diuretic, alcohol causes your body to lose water and dehydrate you. While you may think it’s hydrating because you’re drinking a liquid and there’s ice in the cup, alcohol actually does the opposite. That dehydration is one of the main contributing factors to your hangover symptoms.

An IV infusion replenishes that lost water and “cures” your hangover in mere minutes. It also contains electrolytes, most commonly in the form of sodium chloride, which helps to relieve symptoms of dehydration, including fatigue, dizziness, and thirst. Some drip spas even add anti-nausea and anti-inflammatories to help counteract the additional side effects of drinking.

8. Helps Accelerate the Wound Healing Process

IV therapy may also accelerate the wound healing process. Depending on the specific nutrient-rich cocktail you choose, vitamin infusions can help heal wounds and repair damaged cells. It can also improve the health of your skin—your body’s first line of defense against disease and infection.

Here’s what we recommend for your drip:

  • - Vitamin C
  • - Zinc
  • - Arginine
  • - Glutathione

9. Lessens the signs of aging

Known as the ruler of all antioxidants, glutathione is a workhorse nutrient that benefits your body in a whole host of ways—chief among them being its anti-aging effects.

  • - Repair damaged cells
  • - Detox the liver
  • - Boost your immune system
  • - Help manage autoimmune disease symptoms
  • - Assist in the metabolism (breaking down) of toxins
  • - Protect you against free radicals
